How to Apply DMKC Makeup

The DMK Foundation application process is a highly effective one as a result of the technically advancements base formulation. Applied correctly, the DMK Foundation will cover skin imperfections and leave the skin looking refreshed, and clear from any skin demarcation. On clear skin, DMK Foundation will create a “clearness of skin tone” unlike any foundation the client has ever used; covering all minor skin imperfections with only a sheer application.

CHOOSING THE CORRECT FOUNDATION COLOUR

DMK Foundations are divided into five separate series. In each series there are five colours ranging from light to dark. These series have been specially designed to accommodate all skin tones to perfectly matching the skin’s major skin tone. The mixing is may be done by using the stainless steel palette and spatula.

DEPTH OF COLOR – SKIN TONE

After establishing what type of skin tone and colour the skin has, decide what depth of colour shade within the series is needed to make an exact match.

If the skin tone is lighter, a lighter shade within the series may be selected. If the skin tone is darker, then one of the darker skin tone foundation colours should be selected.

In some cases, a unique skin tone may require special mixing. This is accomplished by utilizing the stainless steel palette and spatula. Adjusting the base tone of the selected foundation is accomplished by understanding the principles of the corrector colours.

Taking a specific colour like the Red Neutralizer I will diminish the amount of red in the selected foundation by adding the neutralizer. Adding too much of any neutralizer may not only remove the “redness”, but also lighten (or darken depending on the foundation colour selected) the foundation.

Basic Procedures for matching DMK Cosmetic Foundation to the skin tone

  • 1) Ensure the face and hands are clean.
  • 2) Evaluate the skin tone for major tonal values on the skin and undertones that may be prevalent.
  • 3) Match those skin tones to the correct DMKC foundation series.
  • 4) Establish the shade by selecting the correct light or dark value within the shade.
  • 5) Take the spatula and the palette and place a small amount of foundation on the palette.
  • 6) Take the DMKC Foundation tester applicator and place a small amount of foundation on the skin. Throw away the DMKC Tester applicator when finished.
  • 7) If colour adjustments need to be made, do this at this time by adding a second foundation colour or corrector to the palette and mixing with the spatula.
  • 8) Repeat the colour testing process if necessary.
  • 9) Load the palette with enough foundation to cover the entire face.
  • 10) Clean the palette and spatula with DMKC Brush Cleaner.
